LeGarrett Blount Out For Season
During the Patriots dominating 27-6 week 14 win over the Houston Texans the New England lost yet another starting player to injury. LeGearrett Blount was the starter for the injured Dion Lewis who tore his ACL earlier in the season. Blount had to leave the game after a running play with a hip injury. The Patriots placed him on Injured Reserve the next day. Blount is just the next player to go with the Patriots injury plagued season with former starting running back Dion Lewis who's season is over with a torn ACL and #1 wide reciever Julian Edelman who broke his foot and isn't expected to return until week 16 at the earliest. With Blount out the Patriots are down to 2 running backs left on their roster which is forcing them to bring in outside help. The Patriots brought in NFL veteran Steven Jackson to see if he might be a fit for the teams offence for the rest of the season but when head coach Bill Belichick was asked about Jackson visiting he simply walked away from the podium and said "let's just end on a high note". Hopefully the Patriots can adapt to yet another injury and continue their 11-2 season on top of the AFC.

Patriots 2 Game Slide Not A Big Deal
The New England Patriots went from winning 10 straight and being undefeated to losing 2 in a row. Despite what some people will tell you the Pats 2 game skid is not a big deal at all, the Pats are still 10-2 and have a commanding lead in their division. The Pats remaining 4 games should be fairly easy with their next game being against the 6-6 Houston Texans in Texas. If they cover DeAndre Hopkins and take him out of the game it should be an easy win. Then they play the 3-9 Tennessee Titans at home. If the Pats can get to rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota and make him uncomfortable it should be a easy win for the Pats and they should be able to rest some starters during this game. Then they have the 7-5 New York Jets who are the toughest challenge the Pats have left in the regular season. This game will be tough with the Jets having Brandon Marshal and Eric Decker at receiver and former Patriot Darrelle Revis as their #1 corner. Then finally they have the struggling 5-7 Miami Dolphins. If the Pats can break through and put Tannehill under pressure they should be able to force a few turnovers. Even if the Pats don't win out the remainder of their games and loose to the division rival New York Jets they still finish the season 13-3 which will easily clinch their division and will give them a good chance at getting a much needed first round bye in playoffs which will help them get some key players back from injuries such as #1 receiver Julian Edleman.
